  • Sizes: Biodegradable food containers range in size from 8 ounces to 64 ounces.
  • Design: These biodegradable food containers meet the strictest scientific standards for compostability and are ASTM D6400-99 certified for “compostable plastics”. The biodegradable food containers are light and strong like plastic, but will fully biodegrade when composted.
  • Storage: The biodegradable food containers should be stored in an environment that is less than 110 degrees F and not in direct sunlight or contact with heat.
  • Composting: Composting is required for biodegradation. These biodegradable food containers are 100% compostable and will biodegrade within 180 days in a commercial composting facility. The biodegradable food containers may take up to a year or more to biodegrade in a home composting system.

    Hi Kyu,

Unfortunately we don’t send out samples directly, but you can order them from our supplier, World Centric, for a small $7.50 fee.

Just head to http://www.worldcentric.org/biocompostables/sample-packs to order a sample pack. To make sure you get the 8oz compostable round deli lid, just write it’s item number into the “special instructions” box that you’ll see when you check out.

If you’re ready to join Viv and place an order, just head over to http://vivbizclub.com/start-an-order

    All the best,

    Hello,

I am developing a new product and would like to source with all green materials. Do you have or know of a company that sells plastic wedge boxes with tops. I need 300 to start. They should be about the size of a small slice of pie.

    Thanks,
    Bree

I currently use the 8oz clear plastic Safe-T bowls for one of my products. For a particular venue we are being required to us compost-ability- containers.. I noticed in my search you stated you had both rectangle and round containers…yet, I cannot find them..do you carry a compostability-8oz round clear plastic clam-shell or bowl w/ lid preferably sealing safety lid.
    Thanks-Chef Wade

    Hi Wade,

Our 8oz compostable round deli container (along with all of our round deli containers) is now a special order item only. This means that World Centric occasionally stocks the item, but it is not always available. To check current inventory levels, please head to http://www.WorldCentric.org.
    Hope that helps!
