Overview / Material: Compostable take out containers are made from unbleached plant fiber. Black Sushi Box and PLA lids are made from NatureWorks Ingeo™, which is derived from plants grown in the USA.
Applications: Great for a range of hot & cold foods. Quit using styrofoam for your takeout containers.
Sizes: Take out boxes come in multiple sizes with lids sold separately. Compost-A-Pak boxes are folding take out containers with unique tear off tabs for holding condiments or to use as a utensil.
Design: Microwave and freezer safe. Compostable containers are soak proof and do not have any plastic or wax lining (except Sushi box), however hot foods – and in particular hot, heavy foods – will cause the plates to “perspire” and some condensation can form at the bottom.
Composting: Composting is required for biodegradation. These compostable boxes are certified according to ASTM D6400 and will biodegrade in 2-4 months in a commercial composting facility.
